Summary of Smartphone Battery Maintenance Methods:
1. Nowadays, mobile phones generally use lithium batteries. Before the lithium batteries leave the factory, the manufacturer will activate them and perform pre-charging.Therefore, the batteries have residual charge. If the newly purchased phone battery is a lithium-ion battery, the first 3-5 charges are considered the adjustment period and should last for more than 14 hours to ensure the full activation of the lithium ions.Lithium-ion batteries do not have a memory effect, but they have a strong inert state. They should be fully activated to ensure that future use can achieve the desired performance.
2. When the indicator light of some automated intelligent fast chargers changes, it actually means that the battery is only 90% charged. The charger will automatically switch to slow charging to fully charge the battery. Do not immediately disconnect the charger from the power source; you need to give the battery some additional charging time before using it again, otherwise it will shorten the battery's lifespan.
3. Before charging, the lithium battery does not need to be discharged, nor should it be discharged. The current lithium battery chargers produced do not have a discharge function. If the charging speed can be adjusted, it is recommended to use slow charging when charging to reduce the use of fast charging methods. Regardless of whether using slow or fast charging, the charging time should not exceed 24 hours, otherwise the battery may be damaged by the large electronic current generated from prolonged power supply.
4. Many users leave their phones on while charging. It is best to avoid completely discharging the battery before recharging it, as with an increase in the number of charges, the battery's performance will gradually weaken, and the battery's standby time will inevitably decrease.
